A Movement for Guernsey’s Future

We are a consortium of local families and individuals united by a shared purpose: to protect our rights, well-being, and dignity as residents of Guernsey. This initiative was born out of deep concern that the States of Guernsey and the Civil Service have failed in their fundamental duty to safeguard these values.

For too long, the voices of ordinary people have been overshadowed, and the realities of life in Guernsey have been ignored or underreported. While local media plays an important role in our community, it has not always been able—or willing—to tell the full story. We aim to fill that gap and ensure the truth is heard.

Why The People’s Trust Exists

This is more than just a political group; it’s a rallying point for those who believe that “enough is enough.” It’s for those who feel the time has come to act, to challenge the status quo, and to demand better for ourselves and future generations—for our children, their children, and those yet to come.

Our movement is simple: we are apolitical. We stand for one thing – transparent and accountable governance. That is all.

We’re here to empower individuals who want change and to support those brave enough to speak out against wrongdoing. Whistleblowers, who often risk so much to reveal the truth, will find encouragement, protection, and solidarity within this group.

• Transparency: Honest governance and genuine accountability from the States of Guernsey and the Civil Service. Too often, these institutions have demonstrated dishonesty, evasion, and a lack of integrity.
• Action: Mobilising citizens to stand up for their rights and challenge systems that fail to serve the people—if they ever truly did.
• Support: Creating a strong network where every voice matters, where the truth is valued, and where individuals feel empowered to speak out without fear.
• Credibility: Presenting factual evidence, linking to verifiable documents, and crafting clear, well-reasoned arguments to drive meaningful, lasting change.
• Accountability: Ensuring those in power face scrutiny and responsibility.

These principles form the foundation of our mission to create a better, fairer future for everyone in Guernsey.

We started a private Facebook group on November 17, 2024. Within just two days, over 1,100 members had joined – out of a total population of 64,000 – a clear indication of the public’s need for change and action.

That alone indicates the public’s desire for change.
